Savta means "grandmother" in Hebrew, a tribute to the warmth, simplicity, and flavor of the past. The recipe comes from my mother: a traditional blend of eggplant, red bell pepper, and fresh garlic, enriched with a secret combination of spices. She called it "Indian-flavored eggplant."
